SimpleBlog (list block) help!?!

Hi All

I created a block on my homepage for the simple blog list displaying 2 posts.

I am getting this error where the blog posts should be:

Fatal error: Call to a member function shorten() on a non-object in /home/ctipton/solidstatesix/packages/simpleblog/blocks/sb_blog_list/view.php on line 88

Can anyone assist?
