Site Name: Background Image Not Showing
Permalink
I am running Concrete5 5.5.2.1 on Linux (Dreamhost hosted). My site (http://manorhaven-voice.com/) is using the Greek Yogurt theme, unmodified and only slightly customized. I tried to change the header block with the Site Name to use light-colored text (which works Great) and an image background. The image shows up in "Design" but not on the page. I did this on the Page Types -> Right Sidebar -> Defaults which seems to indicate that it should affect every page on the site (which is exactly what I'm trying to do). The settings on the site currently use a dark Site Name font but the image is still set in the block.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

THanks. I'm sure that's the step I didn't understand. However, now that you point it out, I try'd it and I get an error on one or more selected pages:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getBlockCollectionObject() on a non-object in /home/connexit/manorhaven-voice.com/updates/concrete5.5.2.1/concrete/models/permissions.php on line 373
Any ideas?

Searching the forums, I found two threads that might help you. In one of those, a core team member says this:
"This is confirmed. I'm thinking that the source of this issue is related to using copied blocks in page type defaults then deleting the page version where the original block lives. This will be addressed in the upcoming version of c5."
Maybe this was what happend with your site? Anyway, here are the links:

http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/fata-error...
Good luck!

If this is the case, do this:
- Dashboard -> Page Types -> Defaults
- Put the page in edit mode, click the block and select the last option: "Setup on child pages"
- Click the checkbox to the right of "Date Modified" to select all pages using that page type and save
- Publish your edits
Hope this helps!
