Site Name does not update

Hi people,
I'm building a DEMO site for a (potential) client, with the yogurt theme. Therefor I want to change the site name in 'their name DEMO'. I've changed it in the dashboard, but the name will not update in the top of the page. It does update in the footer however.

What to do?

hi,

have you tried clearing the cache in sidewide settings -> debug?

and is it just a clean install you have done this to?

where have you changed the name?

works fine for me in sidewide settings..

Tried clearing the cache as you suggested: does not do the trick.

I started with a clean install on my local Mac. So first I named the site 'whatever'. nothing really happened on this site. Just added a couple of pages and some pictures. Then decided to give the site a useful name...


I've changed the name in Sitewide Settings / Site Name. Is there another place to do this??

I've found the answer:
changed the name in Global Scrapbook > works fine!

ahh of course.. my page does not have a global scrapbook, so didn't think about that... glad you solved your problem yourself :-)

mine does (or did) i think once you change it,its forever changed in the dashboard.
i changed the scrapbooks name i guess, and now im trying to publish from that (which looks like what i can work with) but no..theres no place to publish from there...


either way..to clarify on how to change the My Page annoying thing in the upper left..

visit Dashboard > Scrapbook > Global-link..=rename.
