Sitemap Missing After Upgrading to 5.5.2.1

Help! Reluctantly I upgraded my site to the newest version, 5.5.2.1, and now I cannot access my sitemap at all. I updated and the Sitemap button now displays the spinning "loading" icon. I'm not a web developer, I hate going into HTML unless I absolutely have to. I tried reverting back to my previous version, but it still happens. So now I can't jump to a page to edit my site. I've trawled the forums looking for help, and have tried deleting my cache, no dice. Looks like there are a few people struggling with this. I cannot edit or add pages until I figure out why this is happening. Arrgh! Any updates to this situation??

You can run the Automated jobs manually once & check whether it works. You can find it under system & settings section on dashboard.

No soap. I still have the same problem. But, I discovered how to access each page for editing through the dashboard. I'm disappointed that an update like this would cause such a fundamental problem, and that even reverting back to an earlier version doesn't fix it. There seems to be a few people who are struggling with the same issue. What gives??
