Slideshow not showing up consistently

Sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. I checked the file permissions, and everything seems to be in order. I have had outside users try to load the page and, again, it's hit or miss. Any ideas?

No worries. Let me know how you get on.
Sometimes the javascript added by blocks clashes with the javascript added by other blocks. Have a look at the developer console in Chrome or Firebug console in Firefox and see if there are any error messages.
Maybe try emptying the cache under 'site wide settings' in the dashboard?
You may also want to optimize/resize the images for the web. Some of them seem rather large and take a while to load.
