Splash page for Flowplayer

Hello.
I have Flowplayer free in my site and it works great. One issue. I would like to show a splash image rather than a blank box. It makes my site look like it's broken.
I have searched the forums in both Concrete 5 and Flowplayer but I can't seem to find the answer. Any help is gratefully appreciated.
Is this even possible with the free version?
