State / Province Not Working Since Update to c5 5.4.2

Hello fine people,

I have run into a problem since updating to c5 v5.4.2.

Problem is my State/Province drop down is not working!

In the front-end user profile page, the 'State/Province' selection drop down is empty (see screen-shot). Since I have this set as a "required" field, the user can not update their profile at all. (I have temporarily made this non-required to get updates working).

In the dashboard user profile, the drop down appears full with the right choices (see screenshot), and it will let you change a users province... BUT... whatever you do there is NOT reflected in the front-end user profile!

The 'State/Province' field was working fine before this update... PLEASE HELP!

The problem disappears!

So it must be a 5.4.2 bug??

I too have this SAME issue.

New users can no longer register because the STATE dropdown field is empty for BILLING and SHIPPING.

However current users can see the STATE dropdown menu contents just fine.

This appeared after my upgrade to 5.4.2 also.

My issue with this is a bug in 5.4.2 and Andrew and Ryan fixed it today to be released in 5.4.2.1 soon.

My guess is that you are using a DATE PICKER field in your registration form somewhere. At least this was the case for me.

If you want the fix sooner than the release of 5.4.2.1 then get it here: http://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/commit/2aa89962d73fc2e7d5afea...

You will need to place this new controller.php file under your UPDATES folder under the 5.4.2 tree for it to work. Putting it in your root/concrete folder won't help.
