Strange one: Cannot Log in. Finally managed to but no toolbar

So. Up until now my sports club website has been functioning perfectly. Running on C5 for around a year or so.
An editor logged in last week and manged to delete some pages. No big issue but now, for some reason I cannot log into the website.
I log in with the correct UN and PW – I am then bought to the home page NOT logged in. I then click "remember me", it seems logged in as some of the content is pushed down and in the footer it says "logged in as Admin" but there is no tool bar. Also when looking at the code, all the stylesheets and JS for C5 is loaded.
The editors do not have access to FTP. Is there anything they could of done? and what could I do to fix it.
