Sub-domain = New C5 Installation

Did a search through the forums but can't find much information regarding my query.

I want to have a sub-domain for custom services provided by my business.

This is what I want to achieve,
custom.domain.com

I have already created a "Custom" folder on the webhost server to store all files for this sub-domain.

There is already a "Custom" page on my current C5 install ,www.domain.com/custom/.
I can't find seem to find any option in C5 that allows me to point the page to, custom.domain.com.

Do I have to upload and install a new instance of C5 in the custom folder on the server in order for me to get custom.domain.com?

The reason why I need to use sub-domain is due to the amount of information and configuration found on my "Custom" service.

I don't fully understand what you are trying to achieve, but it sounds like you want to run 2 sites on one installation using domainshttp://www.domain.com and custom.domain.com

Which suggests the domain mapping plugin might be exactly what you need.

Yes, I would prefer to run 2 sites on 1 installation if possible.

I would take a look at the plugin you mentioned.

Thanks!
