Superfish loses CSS/JS when adding to page defaults

Hi,
I purchased and installed Superfish and have modified it to my likings. I have it setup and working proper on my frontpage by adding it manually, all is good. But when I try to add it to the page defaults the block has no formatting and just looks like an unordered list. I have tried doing this over and over again, including pasting the working block on my frontpage into my scrapbook.
Can anyone help?
