Superfish single level only

Hi
I have purchased the superfish menu and its great but I would like to know how i can set it to not show sublevels in certain cases.
Most of the time I would like either 1 or two sublevels but occasionally I dont want any and I cant find a way to set it to 0.

one option is to use the "Exclude From Nav" page attribute on the pages that you don't want shown. otherwise you might have to make a custom view.

thanks for the info.
the problem with excluding from nav is that I only want to exclude from the navigation for one page view( home page) then once in the site i dont want the pages excluded.
I will have to have a look at creating a custom view, but I am an optician and know very little about coding!!!
