text linking between pages

Hi,

I want to have some text on my front page link to an inner page.. shouldn't be that hard. Would need a word count break too...

Any ideas?

thanks Lance

You can add text links to other pages in your site map when adding text through the 'Content' block.

Just select the text you want to be a link and click on 'Insert Link to Page' in the top menu and select the page to link to.

See attached screen shots.

mmmm. I don't want to create a hypertext link... I want the first two paragraphs of text to flow from say... a content page to the homepage.

I'm confused!

Do you mean 'named anchors'?

na....

imaging this...

I have a page on the site and I want the first two paragraphs to appear in a content block homepage as an introduction; just like a newspaper site...

I should not need to type the content up twice... it should dynamically pull the content.

I can do this in the other CMS's I use but C5 seems to like static content.

Does that help?

thanks Lance

Have a look at this free add-on:

http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/page-list-teasers/...

This custom template for the standard 'Page List' grabs the content from the target pages' 'Main' area.

Considering what lance72 is describing, the add-on suggested by mhawke will probably be the best bet.
