Theme is ignored

I am using the latest version of C5 - 5.6.0.2

I have added a new theme, installed it and activated the new page types.

I have then assigned one of these new page types to my homepage, removed old versions of the homepage and removed the old homepage page type.

Now the homepage looks like the old theme, plus when editing ANY page defaults it just loads the homepage in the old theme.

I cannot get the new page theme to appear anywhere, it's like the new them does not exist.

Any ideas?

Jake

Have you applied the theme to the page or site ?

To apply a theme to one page go that page through your sitemap or from the page and click on design. Now select your theme from the options.

To set your theme sitewide go to your dashboard and under the pages and theme category select themes. From there you will see options to activate your theme and will than prompt you to select if you want the theme applied to all pages.

Thanks Ekko.

I reinstalled and started again, but the same happened.

I had activated the theme in Themes, which I thought would do it sitewide.

But it didn't I had to change it on the page, it then worked.

Why would it not apply it the whole site? Bug?

It may be a theme related issue, some themes may not have yet been updated to 5.6.0.2 or the version your using and some small issues may be seen. If you use the default themes that c5 comes with and see the same behavior than you could start a bug report and people could look into what the cause is on your install or hosting environment might be.
