Themes are not showing

hello, I am new to C5, I have a website all loaded but when I try to apply a theme nothing happens. The screen changes but no buttons show up and the site looks nothing like the theme in the Marketplace. Is there something I am missing or not doing? The site ishttp://www.thewreckingcrewny.com

Thanks

Hard to say. You have Dark Chocolate in use currently. What theme do you want? If you PM me ad admin login I'll activate it for you.

Hi smitty69,

Try logging into the site and selecting "Edit"
Then at the top there should be an editable area called Header Nav
click there and add an "Auto-Nav" block and hit "Add"
Then click there again and select "custom template" at the bottom and hit "Header Menu"

That should update your page with your navigation at least.
Are you trying to apply Dark Chocolate, or is there some other theme that you're attempting to install?

For some reason I am not seeing those things nor is my theme loading all the way for some reason. I have attached a screenshot for you.

Did you buy this theme, or make it?

It came as a FREE theme from The Marketplace.

it seems that none of the themes look the way they should when I apply them to my site. Not sure why.

Okay, well another way to try this since there doesn't appear to be a "header nav" area is to just click "add to header" then do the same steps. Add an auto-nav and select "Header Menu" in custom templates. Then you'll need to move the block above your picture there.

There is NO "add to header"

In your pic - below where your picture is there is a white box called "add to header" that should be clickable.

Also everytime I click the box above my photo it just does NOTHING!

Have you attempted to contact the developer? Concrete5 Devs are required to support their themes, even the free ones.

I am new to C5, what does that mean? Do I need to add something to the server or something?

Go to the marketplace page for the theme and on the right sidebar, there will be a "Support" link. Click that and let the dev know that you are having some trouble getting things working. It sounds like some of the css is messed up and they should be able to address that and update the version so you can update via the system.

Thanks, it seems to do this with every theme I try.

create a dummy user account that has administrative privileges and send the user name and password in a private message.
