TinyMCE shows up blank

Hello, I'm fairly new to C5 so I may be overlooking something obvious, but starting today when I try to edit or add content the TinyMCE window shows up blank. (see attachment)

Some poking around with firebug reviles that at least to some degree TinyMCE is there, I just can't see it or do anything with it.

The "TinyMCE" window loads very quickly and is completely unresponsive to any kind of input.

It has worked previously so I don't think it's a hosting related problem or anything like that.

My first guess would be some kind of javascript error caused by another block on the page or maybe something in your theme's header. Even though you're using Firebug, I have come across several errors that weren't reported there (something having to do with the fact that things are being loaded into that edit window after the original page has been loaded, so firebug doesn't see it or something?).

Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what the problem might be. I would try adding a new page and making sure there are no other blocks on it (if for example there are Page Default blocks, delete those as soon as you add this new page), then add the Content block and see if it works there. If it does, then you know the problem on the other page is caused by some block. If it's not working on the new page, then it might be something in your theme. Did you modify your theme's files at all? Is it one you built yourself or is it from the marketplace or a built-in C5 theme?

Hi

did you solve the problem? I am dealing with the same - the net is full with people trying to fix exactly this, but it seems like looking for the needle in the haystack: Some fixes work for some but not for others.
I have the same problem on a 1&1 server.
Whe I disable "inlinepopup" I a) on one domain get a completele blank page, b) on a different domain (also 1&1) I get a "page not found error.

I am really running out of ideas.

Hi ong

Have you set «custom settings» for your editor or the default setting?

Hi

no, I did not make any strange changes.
I noticed though that when I put the site on a root dir in (another) subdomain it works (see:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/solved-kin...
