tinyMCE link headache

Evening!

Is there any way to get tinyMCE to stop using 'target="_blank"' when I want a link to upen up in a new window and instead use 'rel="external"' so I can use a bit of .js-code to get my website, every page of it, COMPLETELY 100% XHTML 1.0 Strict-Valid?

Thanks.
