i tried to paste a google analytics tracking code at sitewide setting/general but somehow it is not insterted to my pages, do i need to add a code in my default php as well?..

i simply pasted the code in the def file for now

You'll need this in your footer element file, right before the </body>:

<?php  require(DIR_FILES_ELEMENTS_CORE . '/footer_required.php'); ?>
