this looks to me as though you are using some type of div or span in your content area that is using an absolute position. the Area's in your templates establish styling. I have used this content editor on every platform and have hade no issues. So that leads me to believe that there is something unique about the way your template is designed.

so what does this mean? that I can't use the editor on any part of the template that's positioned absolute?

When I switch to the default Plain Yougurt template the editor looks ok.

that was just a guess. you may just have some tags that are not closed. hard to say without looking at your template files.

My main point, is that b4 assuming the CMS is failing you, make sure that you are using a well designed template.

It actually looks to me like you are trying to use divs with CSS from inside that content editor? If so, there really should not be a reason to do that. for example, if you are just unhappy with the template padding or margins...then just adjust the template CSS for those areas. It would seem ill-advisable to insert additional containers via the content editor. if that's what's happening.
