Trying to get redirect for groups to work
Permalink
Hello all, and thanks in advance for any direction you can give.
First off, let me note that I have now gotten several redirect add-ons (some free, some way too expensive) trying to get what I want done, yet nothing I do seems to make it do what I need... but I can't imagine that I'm asking for anything impossible!
At this moment we have a "Radio Archive Preview and Purchase page" as a subpage to the home. In order to access this page you must be a standard registered user.
One of the options on this page is to purchase a one year subscription membership to have access to the real Archive Player/Download Page. When a user purchases this product (through eCommerce), they are automatically added to the subscription member group.
For the duration of their membership length (I set it to automatically kick them out after 1 year), every time they click the "Radio Archive" link from the Nav Menu Bar, I want them to login, but if they are still in the subscription member group, they must be taken straight to the real Archive Player/Download Page, instead of the Preview and Purchase page. (Yet, if someone is just an ordinary user they need to go to the Preview and Purchase page.)
I purchased the $75 login redirect add-onhttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/login-attribute-redirec... (I'm sorry, but I am sorely disappointed - I can't believe I paid $75 for this... $15-20 would be reasonable. I regret buying this.)
Anyway, that can make it so they are redirected when they initially log in... but then if while they are still logged in they click off the home page and back on "Radio Archives", then they are back on the Preview Purchase Page and not the Player/Download Page like they should be.
We are obviously willing to pay for this to work (even though we've already spent over $100 on things that haven't worked). If anyone knows what I can use, or even how I might be able to modify one of the existing addons, PLEASE help!
Thanks much,
Kari

I tried usinghttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/redirect1/,... but although it does exactly what I want, it only has options for "unregistered" and "registered"... I'm dealing with two different types of registered, so it isn't applicable. I tried going through and adding in my own option for subscription group, but I obviously didn't know what I was doing because I never could get it to actually redirect based on group.
I would probably just hard-code this into your site, this is something that without extensive testing should take anyone decent under an hour to write.

So what can I do?
