Editing (v7+)

Unable to edit the index.php (home) page!

I am trying to edit the index.php page but I keep getting redirected to a read only.

This has never happened to me!

I am running 5.3.3.
Will try and upgrade. Any ideas why this could be happening?

I can think of a of a reason:

First try and login using admin. If that works it might indicate you have advanced permissions set up and the user "chrisr" is not in a group which has edit permisssion set for the page.

i think its the theme i would check on that i also think you have permission problems
