Unable to modify the theme

I am trying to modify the default theme in 5.7.3.1 but whatever I do I get lots of error code on the page and if I save changes the site is unusable. The error code is:

This problem appears to be caused by web hosts that don't provide enough memory (commonly inexpensive shared hosting). You will need to contact your host and request that they increase it.
The theme presets use Less which is a compiled CSS preprocessor. I am assuming that low memory prevents the Less from compiling resulting in the error.
The cause of the error was solved by community user ntisithoj:

On the same panel, change all of the fonts from "Helvetica Neue" to "Helvetica"

Don't try to modify default theme...please installed new theme which is available in marketplace for this version..
Otherwise you have to overwrite the theme
