Unable to select image or file in File Manager

Hello
I'm not a Concrete 5 expert at all so any help would be really appreciated. Basically when editing website content I normally go into "Edit Content" and this works fine and I'm able upload images or files such as PDF's normally. However when I attempt to select the file by hovering over the thumbnail and clicking the image I've uploaded it doesn't let me select it.
This used to bring up a small pop up box which enabled me to "choose" the image or file.
Any ideas please? Was working fine approx 2 weeks ago!

Are there any javascript errors on the page?
When I hover over the thumbnail that I want to select it says:
javascript:void(0)
javascript:void(0)
If you open the developer tools and look at the console are there any errors listed there?
