Update block quoter malfunction

Hi, I have an update outstanding on block quoter which won't install. I don't use this add on so thought I would remove it because it seems to be causing an error on my blocks which means I can't edit my website. When I select the edit button in add functionality I can't access block quoter, it simply returns to the add functionality page. Can anyone help me with this please?
Hi, I'm currently running concrete 5.6.3.3 and version 1.0.1 of block quoter
The real problem is that block quoter seems to be throwing a fatal error when I try to add a new block when editing my web site. I never use block quoter so I thought I would simply remove it. For some reason I can't get to the remove button. Any ideas?

You might have to remove some files from your server and also edit your database.
Be sure you know what you are doing then and that you have a good backup from your files and database before you attempt anything like that.

What version of concrete5 are you using ?
What version of block quoter are you using ?
block quoter claims the latest version is 5.7 ready, but it's on the 5.6 marketplace
