I changed the header image and I thought it was supposed to filter down to all the child pages that was created from that parent page but it's not happening. I used the same file name - header.jpg. I uploaded the new image file and replaced it in the block on the home page. I then deleted the previous image from the file manager. Now no image is showing up at all on the child pages under the Parish Information tab. I'm using Greek Yogurt. Here is a link to the temporary page:http://www.mkwebconcepts.com/stclementmo-c5/...
Hi,
To avoid having to manually change or add an image for every new page, the best place to edit is on the actual Page Default.
Go to Dashboard > Pages & Themes > Page Types > select "Defaults" after the page type you want to modify > put the resulting page template in edit mode and add the new header image you chose.
At this point, all new pages will display the new image. To have pages previously created update to the new image, click on the image while in edit mode and choose "setup on child pages" from the drop-down.
Save.
Enjoy.
Thanks!! I had completely forgotten to look under the Page Type Defaults. And thanks for the tip on updating the pages already created. That did the trick.
