Upgrade Error 5331 to 540

Most single sites could be upgraded without problems but this:

The site, working on a subdomain, uses domain-mapper-extension an has som blocks>views customized.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method UpgradeController::on_before_render() in /var/www/../concrete5/concrete5.4/concrete/libraries/view.php on line 741


Any idea how to solve this?

maybe the error results from an own slideshow-customization with additional datafields.

Is there any guideline how to upgrade modules to work with C5.4?
