Upgrade From 5.5.1 to 5.5.2
Permalink
I see that 5.5.2 has been released! I was wondering where in the dashboard in 5.5.1 I can choose to upgrade to the latest version. I haven't looked into upgrading in any 5.5.x version, so I'm not sure what has changed from the older versions.
Thanks! Don't know how I managed to miss that, lol.
I just checked it, but it says I have the latest version. When will it show 5.5.2 as the latest one that I can upgrade to?

Same here. Upgrade in Dashboard tells me I'm already at the latest version (5.5.1) and doesn't do anything.
I also manually downloaded the 5.5.2 file package and copied it over the top of my existing installation. I used the /tools/required/upgrade.php tool per the upgrade instructions in the downloaded ZIP file. It too tells me that I'm already at the latest version and asks if I want to run the script again anyway. After running it says I'm upgrade to 5.5.1.
What gives?

Hi folks, we just released 5.5.2 last night. We haven't yet enabled 5.5.2 for download directly through your site's dashboard-- we always wait a day or three after making it available for download and manual installation.
Until we flip the switch, your site will continue to say that 5.5.1 is the latest version when it checks to see if there's anything new to download. If you're not comfortable backing up your database and performing a manual upgrade, I would recommend waiting until we make 5.5.2 available directly through your dashboard.
If you want to forge ahead, you're welcome to download a zip archive of the 5.5.2 core. You can do so from our Downloads page:
http://www.concrete5.org/developers/downloads/...
You should extract this into your updates/ directory. The proper path would look like:
(your site root)/updates/concrete5.5.2
Visit Dashboard > System & Settings > Backup & Restore > Update concrete5 to run the upgrade script. Nothing about this process has changed in quite some time.

System & Settings > Back up and Restore > Update.
in 5.5.1 Hover over the Dashboard button in the tool bar. the second from bottom option is "system and settings". Click it. on the System and Settings Page the Back-Up and Restore options are at the bottom. Click Update Concrete5 from the list and you should be on your way.
