User cannot see sitemap/How does a user access a sitemap
Permalink
Hi
This is my first time creating a user to access their concrete5 website. They have permissions set to access the site map (set this in the task permission setting). When the user logs in they get redirected to the home page. Which is great. The white bar that comes across the top of the page has edit on the left. On the right the bar has intelligent search, sign out and create event(create event is from a calender installation).
How does the user access the site map? Should there be a button on the right hand site like how the admin has dashboard?
Thanks in advanced

Hi,
If you are not giving your User access to the dashboard, there are a couple of add-ons in the marketplace that would create a shortcut button on the edit bar. See http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/-/view/?submit_search=1... to see examples.
Hope this helps

In addition to the addons (one of which is mine:) ), you can also use an AutoNav to show a sitemap on a page, as on the 'Search' page of a c5 default content install.

Thanks guys! That's exactly what I needed. It works on one of my sites but on the other the site map does not show! Full site map and flat view are blank???
Also a general question. On the site that works, the site map shows up but a user can't create a page. How do they create a page?

go to dashboard -> system & Settings -> Permissions & Access
and you can give the limited permissions for individual user or groups also...
If you want to allow the user to create a page in site map, add the user to administrator group and restrict some access. that is also in permissions & access
