User Email when before removal from group

Hi there
I'm running a membership site via the standard group functionality, where users are removed automatically at a specific date.
I need to send a notification email to users which are removed from a group on specific times, so the user has the chance to renew the membership. E.g. I want to send out an email 14 days, 7 days and 1 day before removal.
Anyone got some hints for this?
