I installed User Info Version 1.97 Addon and cannot edit any attributes on pages.

If I'm not mistaken, as I haven't used this add-on in a long time, the attributes are those that are editable through your users profile page when editing it.
Yes that's correct. You can edit all fields while in Edit Profile.
