Users Can't " Choose " image from file manager
Permalink
I have an issue that is affecting some of my users. When they add a content block, and use the add image to select an image from the file manager they click the "Choose" option and literally nothing happens. Since it works fine for me I know once you click Choose it should bring you back to the page editor and present the image within the block you are editing.
Not sure if a permissions issue or even possible an OS issue?
I have one user that this functions fine on his Windows 7 OS, but when trying to do this on his Maverick MAC OS it has this issue.
I have 3 other users that all have Windows 8 OS and they all have this issue.
Anyone shed some light?

bump.
What happens when you find the user in the search users dashboard page and click to login as user. Can you choose files?
What version of c5 are you running? If you have your windows 8 users try to use google chrome does it resolve the issue? The operating system shouldn't have an effect on the behavior I wouldn't think, the browser and browser version on the other hand may.
I suppose troubleshooting 101 would tell me to do that.
I was able to login as them and I had the same issue. Also if I try to click on the image in file manager and select properties it says access is denied. Same with view. So pretty sure it's just a permissions issue.

I'm not the admin and don't have access to user permissions myself but I've got the admin working on this. Also circumvented the issue temporarily for the users by having them insert the image via url and getting the file ID from inspect element, this has got them able to work until the admin fixes this. I appreciate the help, thanks guys.
Here are a couple of links providing help on setting permissions.

They are not exactly want you will be needing to do, but do provide some general explanation of permissions and point you in the right direction.
