Very basic question about menus

Hi everyone,

I suppose I am simply too blind to see what's right before me. I have started using c5 yesterday.

I have a simple page with two menu levels and a vertical sub menu in the sidebar. When I select an item from the sub menu (e.g. products -> CDs), the sub menu disappears on the CDs page.

What would be the combination of options (under "edit") I would have to choose if I want all the sub menu of "products" to be listed on all the sub pages of "products"?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you very much in advance!

Best,
Per

I'm new at this, too, but I think for a side bar menu you have to create an Auto-Nav for each new page.

you can go to pages & themes in the dashboard -> pagetypes -> click on defaults for the page type you want to include the sidebar... in there you add the block as you want, and when it is the way you like it, you click on the block and "copy to subpages"... then you have included a menu to all your subpages you want :-)

hope this helps..!

Hi pixel8,

thanks for your concern. I had to rest this project for a while, and yesterday I spoke with a friend who gave me a crucial hint as to where to look.

What I found was this:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/how-to-har...

This is what I had been looking for! Thanks all for your help!
