very difficult to just add an image to header
Permalink
seriously, ive spent 6+ hours fudging with all this frustrating different places to add a *****ing image.
all i need to do is add an image to the header..
is buying a lame theme teh only way to do this? sofar,i am really not too happy with concrete5,
ive spent way too much time doing really trivial things, and it just takes too long to have to go back and forth with all this tedious stuff.
can't there be a frigin feature to add an image whereever i want, and also resize the thing to automatically fit in a normal way ?...
unhappy

What theme are you using?
tried teh plain yogurt.
then i fiddled with "green salad" (changing the 'home_header.jpg' to old, then inserting my images...
sofar, only green salad will display 1 image in the background, but i cannot figure out ANY header images...
other themes that i have installed are not in the filesystem under Concrete>themes...i only see the 3, default, greensalad, and chocolate...
none of which are cooperating.
its just, how difficult can they make it to change out 1 image...? or the entire header itself is a nightmare..

You might want to take a little time to go through the documentation about how to edit areas of a concrete5 page -- it is a very foundational technique you will need to understand in order to use concrete5 effectively. Seehttp://www.concrete5.org/documentation/general-topics/...
Basically, you edit a page by being logged in and then going to the page you want to edit and click the "Edit Page" button in the toolbar. This puts you in "edit mode", where you will see red dotted lines surrounding different blocks on the page. By default (assuming you installed your site with "sample content"), the header contains a slideshow. You can remove the slideshow by clicking on it while in edit mode and choosing "delete" from the popup menu. Then add an image by clicking on "Add to Main" and choosing "Add Block" from the popup menu. Then choose the "Image" block from the list.
Hope that helps.
