Can anyone please tell me what is the ideal file size for a .wmv website video, I have one that's 22mb?

Also is there any free compression software for this, that anyone knows about - preferable Mac compatible if not a web app?

There is no ideal size for video, you can upload any size but it shouldn't exceed the max upload size.

Thanks @ronyDdeveloper, as far as file sizes goes, I meant as far it affecting the time for the page it's on to download?

It depends upon the resource, suppose you store the videos in your server. Then it takes too much time to load a page. But if you use CDN (Content Delivery Network) like Cloud Flair, it reduces the load time. E.g. Youtube.
