Weird problem...site showing Google cache version

I have a client with a site that's been messed up for quite awhile -- nobody can log into it -- but that still displayed correctly. That changed suddenly: you go there (www.techwerks.tv) and it displays Google's cached version.

I've never heard of something like this happening, involving Concrete5 or any other CMS. Does anyone have any insight into why -- and how -- this occurred?

Looks like a normal c5 site to me? Once I go there i'm immediately redirected to /concrete2/ (which is a bit of an odd thing to do), but otherwise all seems to work ok.

There isn't anything in the core of c5 that would cause a google cached version to display. What makes you think that this is the case?

Now I'm seeing that, too. Before, I swear, I was getting the Google cached version in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

I also can't account for the existence of a "concrete2" directory. I strongly suspect that either the client or someone else is having some sort of nefarious fun.

As I suspected: the client brought in someone to work on the server, he broke the site and copied over Google's cached version just to have something to display until he was able to get the site working again.
