Workflow notification for original requestor

Just getting into setting up a workflow, seems to work as expected with one exception. I have a group, "contributors", that can make changes which are approved by "approvers" group. There will be many contributors and I don't want to notify the entire group each time a change is approved or denied - just the user who originally submitted the change - is that not possible?

yes .. in the workflow list there should be a ("notify ...) with groups in it ..
*you might have to enable advance permissions to do this
just remove the group from notify the group would still have the ability to approve or deny changes

I don't think that answers the question -- the workflow should dynamically notify the user who requested the original change.
Sorry to resurrect the thread but did you ever manage this?
