WTF!! has happened to my scrapbook!!!

I spent a whole day WHOLE DAY!! inputting a school timetable into a complicated html table via the text editor.

I needed to create a new page so I copied it to the scrapbook in order to place it in the new page.

Was it there?

TF it was. Nor were numerous other things I'm furious. No rhyme or reason it copies soem things and forgets about other things. Great.

It's a pretty serious error and I need to spend a day to fix it.

Needless to say Im P****d.

content block, copy and paste raw html somewhere? I don't know :(

Sorry the scrapbook isn't working out for you.

Nige,

I'm afraid ScottC is right. I'd never spend a long period of time entering something into TinyMCE (in any situation, not just Concrete) without saving periodically. It's way too risky. That said, take a look at the btContentLocal table and see if your data is in there somewhere.

Yes well it was saved. Days ago.

The whole block had been saved to the C5 scrapbook days ago and it has been there comfortably for a few days.

If I did a database re-install from Friday night or something it would be there. I guess I could do that.

The point is whole blocks disappearing from the scrapbook.

Should that happen?

I ve just realised I cant get a db rebuild from Friday as its a dev server.

Ive really shot myself in the foot here.

I'll just have to re-input everything manually.

:(

Have you checked btContentLocal? The data may still be there. I'm not sure exactly what the trigger is, but blocks get copied when the page they're on is changed. There may be other occasions, too; e.g. when they're copied to the scrapbook. I do agree that this shouldn't happen. I have personally had many problems using the scrapbook, especially with aliased blocks.

Yeah Ive checked it but it doesnt seem to be there. Thanks for your help Todd. Ive cooled down a bit now and its just a case of re-inputting the data (and aplogising to my wife for swearing viciously) and I've already done a third of it.

The scrapbook seems to be flaky. Ive noticed it before suddenly missing a day or two of adds to it. For this case I double checked it was there before deleting the existing block.

But nope everything I added to the scrapbook today or yesterday was suddenly gone.

Very frustrating.
