YouTube block fails

I'm getting some feedback from people who say that they are getting an "install Flash" message instead of playback of YouTube videos on my site. I've confirmed that they can access and play YouTube directly. I've found (because I use the FireFox Noscript plug-in) that "install Flash" messages are often caused by blocked Java scripts (or something similar to that), however, I'm not sure how to test a solution for them. Anyone had any experience with a problem like that? Thanks!

Same problem here. What´s even more odd, client says he can view the video on home - there´s only one youtube block there - but not on the video page, where there are three youtube blocks.
Maybe that´s got something to do with it?
I can´t test, because I can see all videos in all browsers, IE 8, FF3 and opera

Any luck with this? I find the problem when the user is running Windows 7 and IE8. The Install Flash message displays. If you put the page in compatibilty mode it works fine. Perhaps there is some code in the youtube block that needs an update? I don't see the problem on Windows XP... just 7 (Possibly Vista but it hasn't been reported to me.)

That's a good tip, but I have not verified whether the problem is still there (I don't have a Windows 7 system myself, unfortunately). My workaround was to put a "Having trouble?" message on the page that offered a link to the YouTube channel where my videos were posted. That combination you mentioned makes me wonder if the newest IE has a built-in option similar to NoScript that is blocking embedded videos unless they are "allowed." It might be something tied to the internet security level set by the user.
