YouTube Video in Internet Explorer

When I ad a YouTube video to a page using the YouTube block it does not display in Internet Explorer 8. It shows the message "You must install Adobe Flash to view this content". I have gone to the Adobe site and upgraded to the most recent version of Flash but it continues to do the same thing. I have tried to view the page on several different computers with Internet Explorer and it displays the same message. The YouTube video displays fine in Firefox and Safari.

You could try embedding the video with the html block and see if that makes it all better. Just grab the embed code from youtube and paste it in the html block.

You could also try YouTube Prohttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/youtube-pro/...

I feel your pain!!
This has been affecting youtube video and scribd displays on some of my sites. I'd forgotten that I selected 64 bit IE on my new work station. At this time, Adobe Flash does not operate on 64 bit browsers that don't have a 32 bit compatibility mode ( ie: IE8 ).
Adobe recommends a solution athttp://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html... that is a preview release
but I've not tried it myself yet. I'll post my results after trying.

I tried the solution of putting the YouTube embed code into an html block instead of using the YouTube block and got it to work.

THX Chester... I'll do that for now to take care of the video. Still gotta get scribd docs to show though (they're already using the Html block)
Hopefully either/both MS and Adobe release a fix for 64 bit soon ;-)

I also tried to embed, but videos still do not show up
I´m sure my client doesn´t use 64bit
Any ideas what I could do?
