Best way to add Breadcrumb Navigation in 5.7?

I'm about to launch the following site for a client and want to add Breadcrumb Navigation. I built it using a modified Elemental theme. What do I need to drop into the page templates for the Breadcrumb Nav? Or, is it better to add it as a site wide block?

Locations of the different sitemaps

I'm not exactly sure why there are 2 sitemaps in 5.7 but if we are going to have 2, shouldn't the sitemap under 'Pages' be the sitemap where you can actually add pages?
